Due to problems with the original AREA Rating homepage I will take the ratings from Mr. Hogetoorn’s homepage from now on. I have also updated the ratings according to the new list (actually, this only changed the rating of Daniël Hogetoorn, subtracting 10 from what he previously had on YATSL Participants List).

Please note that these ratings are temporary. I will take the more current ratings from Daniël later, right before the tournament starts. Please also note that these ratings are hardly relevant for YATSL. The preliminary groups will probably be determined randomly, and only several top players will be put in separate baskets to avoid too many extra strong players in a single group.

We have 25 participants and this is great. Also, all the e-mails are working (but note to myself and to whom it may concern: double-check the data your mails are sent from! The problem I faced was that the recipient’s server had been claiming that the e-mail had not existed because it had an anti-spam policy to not accept e-mails if the sender’s first or last name contains ‘@’ sign or has only one character).

25 participants mean that to avoid too often deadlines or deadlines on inconvenient weekends we will have a two stage tournament. In the first stage the players will be divided into preliminary groups, the second stage will be played in the groups according to the places taken in the first stage.

Hey, folks!

We have 2122 people so far. That’s great. But we must be able to keep in touch during the season.

Please provide valid e-mail addresses to which I may successfully respond. These are not always the addresses your applications come from (I don’t send e-mails from the address for receiving applications) but I face problems trying to get in touch with some of you. I assume your e-mail address is the same you are writing from unless you explicitely submit another address.

All the e-mails will be checked before the season starts. If my prompt sent to the e-mail assigned to you on my participants list returns an error from Mailer Daemon, your application will not be approved. This is something we both want to avoid, don’t we?

On the first day of the site appearance we have 7 applications. This means that the minimum of 6 players has been achieved and the tournament will run!

This site had just started. After deleting the default Sample Page and Hello Worlds and putting this custom one I’m ready to slowly start Yet Another Twilight Struggle League.
