I was not sure what would I have and what would I not so I did not notify the detailed prizes by now. But now I received a letter so I am glad to finally announce that:

  1. The first player in the Final A will be awarded a copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card signed by Jason Matthews, a non-signed copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card (for collecting and playing purposes, respectively), and a beer glass with hand painted motif from the game (similar to the one here).
  2. The second and the third players in the Final A will be awarded a copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card signed by Jason Matthews and a beer glass with hand painted motif from the game each.
  3. The fourth and the fifth players in the Final A will be awarded a copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card signed by Jason Matthews each.
  4. Each player from the Final A who wins all his matches against the first three players will be awarded a copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card signed by Jason Matthews. Three players from the Final A who don’t meet this requirement but achieve the best summarized result against the first three players will be awarded a non-signed copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card each.
  5. The first 2 players from the Final B will be awarded a non-signed copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card each. Each player from the Final B who wins all his matches against the first 2 players will also get this card.
  6. The winner of the Final C will be awarded a non-signed copy of YATSL 2016 Promo Card. The non-winning player of the Final C with the best result against the winner of the Final C will also be awarded a non-signed copy of this card. For players who are not paired against the winner the result against the best player they are paired against counts.
  7. Two copies of YATSL 2016 Promo Card signed by Jason Matthews will be drawn among the players who do not win a signed copy of this card otherwise. One of this copies is guaranteed for a player from either Final A or Final B. The guarantee does not apply if there are no players to draw among.
  8. Three copies of non-signed YATSL 2016 Promo Card will be drawn among the players who do not win a signed or unsigned copy of this card otherwise. One is guaranteed for a player from Final A, and one is guaranteed for a player from either Final A or Final B. The guarantees do not apply if there are no players to draw among.
  9. Special Prizes Announced here will be awarded to their winners.
  10. Nestor Thomopoulos and Robert Evan Woodham will be awarded surprise award each for their valuable contribution to improve Time Limits rules (Nestor) and Forfeiture Rules (Robert Evan).

Clarifications:

Hi, Folks!

The Final Stage Pairings are already online. You can see it in the menu on the left.

Although not all the players are known, you may start playing right now against the players who are known. Please note that players who already have some games to play during their Preliminary Phase are not allowed to play their Final Phase games even if their group is known until they have 22 games in their Preliminary Phase table. Such reports will not be taken into account.

Very important notice for the new players and for the players who took places 7-12 in their groups!

Since there were 9 players to be put in the Final C, 2 players to be put in the Final C or the Final D, depending on the interpretation of the rules (should I move the withdrawn players down the table under the non-withdrawn players or should they stay where they are according to their actual results?), and 2 players who signed up to play, I decided to merge this into one group. However, as a group of 13, this one would have to consist of 13 rounds and 24 games against each other while the schedule covers 22 games and I promised there won’t be more.

Therefore, I decided to run this as first 11 rounds of a Round Robin of 13 players, counting BYE (not playing) as a double draw (two games, one match point, zero small points). I have drawn the starting numbers and used the pairing table from the chess Rulebook.

You may start playing the Finals now and good luck to everyone!

I’ve described the rules of advancing to the higher league groups and dropping to the lower league groups in further seasons on a separate page.
